Timmy loved going to daycare. Every morning, he jumped out of bed. He couldn’t wait to play with his friends. But most of all, Timmy loved the big red truck.
It was shiny and had huge wheels. Timmy dreamed about it at night. He always raced to the playroom first. His heart beat fast as he opened the door.
“Where’s my truck?” Timmy thought. His eyes scanned the room. He was ready for a day of fun!
Timmy’s smile fell. Another boy was playing with the red truck. Timmy felt his tummy twist.
“That’s my favorite toy!” he said loudly. He ran to the boy.
“I want to play now!” Timmy reached for the truck. The other boy held it tight.
Miss Sarah, the teacher, came over quickly. “Timmy,” she said gently, “we need to share our toys.”
Timmy’s face got hot. He didn’t want to share. Miss Sarah knelt beside him.
“Everyone gets a turn,” she explained. “Can you be patient and wait?”
Timmy took a deep breath. He looked at the clock on the wall. Miss Sarah smiled at him.
“Why don’t you build a tower while you wait?” she suggested. Timmy nodded slowly.
He started stacking colorful blocks. One by one, the tower grew taller. Timmy forgot about the truck for a moment.
“Great job waiting, Timmy!” Miss Sarah praised. Timmy felt proud of himself.
Soon, the other boy finished playing. He put the red truck back on the shelf.
“Timmy, it’s your turn now,” Miss Sarah called. Timmy’s eyes lit up with excitement.
Timmy raced to the shelf. He grabbed the big red truck with a big smile.
He rolled it across the floor, making vrooom sounds. The truck zoomed around chairs and tables.
Then Timmy had an idea. He looked at the other boy.
“Want to play together?” Timmy asked. The boy nodded happily.
They built a road with blocks. The truck drove over hills and through tunnels.
Timmy let his new friend take turns driving. They laughed and played until snack time.
Timmy realized sharing was fun. He couldn’t wait to do it again tomorrow!
Let’s talk about the story, my little adventurer!
