Round and red, a little ball sat in the toy box.
“I am so round,” whispered the ball. “Round and red!”
The morning sun peeked through the window, making the ball shine bright and happy.
Bounce, bounce! The ball wiggled with joy.
All the other toys were sleeping, but the red ball was wide awake.
“Time for an adventure!” the ball thought.
And so, the red ball began to roll…

Roll, roll, roll went the red ball down the hallway.
First, it met a blue pillow.
“Hello!” said the ball. “You’re square, and I’m round!”
“That’s right,” smiled the pillow. “You’re red and round!”
Bump, bump! The ball rolled into the living room.
There sat a yellow book, shaped like a triangle.
“You have points,” said the ball, “but I am smooth and round!”

The ball found a mirror and looked at itself.
“Red like an apple!” it sang.
“Round like the sun!” it giggled.
Whoosh, whoosh! Through the kitchen it went.
Past the rectangular door,
Under the square table,
Behind the triangle chair.
But something was missing…
The ball felt a little lonely.
“Where are my round friends?” it wondered.

The red ball rolled back to the toy box.
Bump, bump!
“Welcome back!” called a happy voice.
There was an orange basketball, round like our friend.
A blue marble rolled over, round as could be.
A purple yo-yo spun with joy, round and friendly.
“We missed you!” they all said.
“We can all be round together!”
The red ball smiled bright.
“I found squares and triangles,” it said,
“But being round with round friends is the best of all!”
Roll, roll, roll they went together.
All different colors, but all perfectly round.
And that’s where you’ll find them,
In the toy box, happy and round,
Ready for the next adventure!
