The big pirate ship rocked on the waves. Its black flag flapped in the wind. On deck, a boy named Jack scrubbed the floor. He was the cabin boy.

“Ahoy, mateys!” yelled Captain Redbeard. His red beard shone in the sun. “We found a treasure map!”

The crew cheered. Jack’s eyes grew wide. He loved adventures!

“Where to, Cap’n?” asked Pegleg Pete.

Captain Redbeard pointed ahead. “To Skull Island!” he boomed.

Jack felt excited. A real treasure hunt! What would they find?

The ship reached Skull Island. The crew jumped onto the beach. They found a big wooden plank blocking their path.

“Shiver me timbers!” said Captain Redbeard. “It’s a puzzle plank!”

The plank had strange symbols. There were stars, moons, and suns in different colors.

“We can’t pass!” cried Pegleg Pete. “The treasure is lost!”

Jack looked closely at the plank. He saw a pattern in the symbols.

Captain!” Jack called. “I think I can solve it!”

The crew turned to Jack. Could the little cabin boy really help?

Jack studied the symbols carefully. He noticed something important.

“Look!” he said. “The colors repeat every three symbols!”

Jack pointed to the plank. “Red, blue, green. Then it starts over!”

The crew watched in awe as Jack worked. He moved some pieces around.

“The shapes have a pattern too!” Jack exclaimed. “Star, moon, sun!”

Captain Redbeard patted Jack’s back. “Keep going, lad!” he encouraged.

Jack’s brain worked hard. He was solving the puzzle step by step.

With a final click, the puzzle plank opened! The crew cheered loudly.

Hooray for Jack!” they shouted. Jack felt very proud.

Behind the plank, they found a glittering treasure chest. It was full of gold coins and shiny jewels.

Captain Redbeard lifted Jack onto his shoulders. “You saved the day, lad!” he boomed.

“How did you do it?” asked Pegleg Pete, amazed.

Jack smiled. “I just looked closely and thought hard,” he said.

The captain nodded wisely. “That’s the real treasure,” he said. “A smart mind can solve any problem!”
