Drip, drop! The rain was gone. Quack the duck waddled out to play.
Splash! He found a big puddle.
“Ooh!” said Quack. His eyes got big.
Splish! Splash! Quack jumped in.
“Wee!” he laughed. “So fun!”
Quack flapped his wings. Water flew up high.
“Splish-splash!” sang Quack. He danced and played.
The puddle was his new friend.
Quack splashed and played. Then he saw something big.
A cow stood near the puddle. She looked shy.
“Hello!” said Quack. “I’m Quack. What’s your name?”
The cow said softly, “Moo.”
“Want to play, Moo?” Quack asked.
Moo looked at the puddle. She didn’t move.
“It’s okay,” said Quack. “Puddles are fun!”
Moo took a tiny step closer. She watched Quack splash.
Quack waddled to Moo. “Watch me,” he said.
He dipped one foot in the puddle. Splash!
“Now you try,” Quack said. “It’s easy!”
Moo lifted her hoof. She put it in the water.
“Good job!” Quack cheered. “How does it feel?”
“Cool,” said Moo. She smiled a little.
“Let’s go in more,” said Quack. “I’ll help you.”
They stepped in together. Splish! Splash!
Moo giggled. “This is fun!” she said.
Quack laughed too. “We’re puddle pals now!”
Quack and Moo played and played. Splash! Splish!
They made big waves and little ripples.
“Look, Moo!” said Quack. “We’re dancing!”
Moo nodded. Her eyes sparkled with joy.
Soon, they felt tired but very happy.
“Thank you, Quack,” said Moo. “You’re a good friend.”
Quack smiled. “Let’s play again tomorrow!”
They walked home, leaving wet footprints.
The puddle waited, ready for more fun.
