Spot was a curious puppy. He loved to play and explore. His favorite place was the backyard. It had soft grass and pretty flowers. Spot’s nose twitched as he sniffed the air. His tail wagged with excitement. What would he find today?
Spot trotted through the grass. His ears perked up. He saw something new! It was round and bright red. Spot tilted his head. “Woof?” he wondered.
The round thing didn’t move. Spot crept closer. He sniffed it. It smelled like fun! He pawed at it gently. The red ball rolled a little.
“Woof! Woof!” Spot barked happily. He found a new toy! The ball was so red and so round. Spot nosed it again. It rolled more. He chased after it, his tail wagging fast.
Spot learned to play with his new toy. He pushed the red ball with his nose. It rolled away. Whoosh!
Spot chased after it. His paws went pat-pat-pat on the grass. The ball bounced. Boing! Spot jumped up. He tried to catch it.
The round ball rolled down a small hill. Spot ran after it. Zoom! He was so fast! The ball stopped at the bottom. Spot pounced on it.
He was so happy! Playing with the red ball was fun. Spot barked with joy. “Woof! Woof!” He couldn’t wait to play more.
Spot heard a friendly voice. “What did you find, Spot?” It was his owner!
Spot ran to show off his new toy. “Look!” he barked. His owner smiled. “What a nice red ball!”
They played together. His owner threw the ball. “Fetch, Spot!” The round ball flew through the air. Whoosh!
Spot raced after it. He brought it back, tail wagging. “Good boy!” said his owner. “It’s so red and round!”
They played and played. Throw and fetch. Again and again. Spot loved sharing his red ball.
After all the fun, Spot felt tired. He yawned big. His owner patted his head. “Good playing, Spot!”
Spot curled up in the soft grass. His new red ball was next to him. He learned so much today. Round and red were fun! Spot closed his eyes, dreaming of more playtime.
