Once upon a time, there was a young dragon named Iris. Her scales were shiny but plain white. Iris watched other dragons fly by. Their scales were bright and colorful.

“I wish my scales were colorful too!” Iris said sadly.

She looked at her white scales and frowned. Iris wanted to be like the other dragons.

Then, Iris had an idea. Her eyes lit up with excitement.

“I’ll go find colors for my scales!” she said with a big smile.

Iris set off on her color adventure. She flew over hills and forests.

Soon, she saw a big red apple on a tree.

“What a pretty color!” Iris exclaimed.

She touched the apple with her nose. Whoosh! Some of her scales turned red.

Iris flew higher into the sky. The bright yellow sun shone above her.

“Hello, Sun!” she called. “Your color is so cheerful!”

A sunbeam touched her wings. Zap! Some scales became yellow.

Next, Iris found a blue river flowing through a valley.

“How beautiful!” she said, dipping her tail in the water.

Splash! More scales changed to a lovely blue.

Iris giggled. “I’m getting so colorful!”

Iris looked at her scales. They were no longer plain white.

Her body was now covered in beautiful colors!

Red, yellow, and blue scales sparkled in the sunlight.

“Wow!” Iris exclaimed. “I’m a rainbow dragon now!”

She stretched her wings wide. The colors shimmered and glowed.

Iris felt happy and proud of her new look.

“I love my colorful scales!” she said with a big smile.

She twirled around, watching her colors dance in the light.

Iris felt more confident than ever before.

“Time to show my family!” she said excitedly.

Iris flew home to her dragon family.

“Look at me!” she called out happily.

Her family was amazed by her colorful scales.

“How did you do that?” they asked.

Iris told them about her color adventure.

She pointed to things around them.

“Red like apples, yellow like the sun, blue like the river!”

The other dragons listened with wonder.

Iris realized something important.

“I love my new colors, but I liked my white scales too!”

She taught her friends about different colors.

They all learned that every color is special.

Iris was happy being herself, colorful or not.

The end.
